Artist Trading Cards Drop-In
Date:
Fri, Sep 18th, 2026Time:
9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Description:
Discover the fun of Artist Trading Cards (ATCs), a worldwide tradition that began in 1997 as a way for artists to connect through creativity.
These tiny works of art, measuring just 2.5 x 3.5 inches, are handmade originals that are created to trade, not sell. Drop in during Culture Days and create your own ATC using a variety of materials and techniques. Draw, collage, or experiment with mixed media using the supplies provided. All ages and skill levels are welcome, whether you're making your very first card or adding to an existing collection. We'll provide markers, pencil crayons, crayons, pens, magazines, scissors, glue, and a variety of collage materials. You're also welcome to bring your own favourite supplies or take a blank card home to finish later. When your card is complete, sign and date the back, then trade it with another artist! Leave a card on the trading wall and take one home, or arrange a trade in person. Remember, Artist Trading Cards are always exchanged, never sold. Come create, connect, and share a small piece of your creativity with someone new.
